This potent combination ensures that animals receive the essential nutrients for optimum health and performance.
Supplementing livestock feed with Vitamin E and Selenium has improved meat characteristics, such as marbling, colour, and oxidative stability (McDowell, 2000; Weiss, 2007). Enhancing these qualities adds value to meat products and meets consumer demands and industry standards.
Research demonstrates that supplementing with Selenium can decrease fertility-related problems such as retained placenta, early embryonic loss, and abortions (Suttle, 2010; Spears, 2000). For example, dairy herds experiencing selenium deficiency have shown a significant increase in the incidence of retained placentas, rising from 10% to over 50%. Furthermore, the combined effect of Vitamin E and Selenium enhances immune function and antibody formation, contributing to livestock’s overall health and productivity.
